For the third and final drop of Spring/Summer 2021, Y-3 moves from rain and wind, to sun in the city with its Shade offering. Exploring the theme of “Kage Wo Otosu”, which translates to “casting shadows”, drop 3 seeks to provide the wearer with enhanced protection from the sun.

Inspired by the way in which light naturally bends and moves, the Shade collection implements translucent details with bright colour-palettes. Bringing the Spring-time theme to life, drop 3 features floral graphics from artist Stephen Doherty throughout.

A Y-3 hoodie in collaboration with London artist Stephen Doherty. The Y-3 CH3 Raw Terry Logo Hoodie acts as a canvas for artist Stephen Doherty as he reflects on the Japanese practise of Ikabana through bold floral artwork. A loose back panel is crafted from sanded cupro, layering over the raw terry fabric. The relaxed shape drapes casually.
